Froggie in the shallow well

Well...
Once upon a time
There lives a frog in a shallow well
His world is only as big as the circle of the well
No big wild thoughts, no big wild dreams
Never know that birds can fly..and wonder why he cant
Never know that snakes bite..and have to be afraid
Never know the million types of insects...and wanting to taste
Being simple in his simplest world

One day
An encyclopedia drops into the well
Not sure whether he's lucky that it doesn't smash on him
As he survives to see what the worlds unfold
Page by page he reads
The encyclopedia exposes the wild wild world
He decides that he should make the leap
Slowly he climbs and leap out to the world
And he sees what he wants to see, fear what he has to fear
He's part of the outside world now
There's no way going back to the well anymore
Back to the simplest life
to the simple thought
in the shallow
Well...
